Internationally Recognized Optics Professionals

The agenda is now in development, with 20 minutes allotted to each technical presentation and 30 minutes for a few invited keynote speakers, including Federico Capasso from Harvard, a leader in the emerging technology of meta-optics. Other keynotes we are actively seeking include leaders from the Department of Defense, topic experts in VR/AR and medical applications, and in freeform optics.

Dr. Federico Capasso
Robert L. Wallace Professor of Applied Physics and Vinton Hayes Senior Research Fellow in Electrical Engineering
Harvard University

Dr. Federico Capasso, a leader in the emerging technology of meta-optics, is well known in both academia and commercial industries. He is a Wallace Professor of Applied Physics and Vinton Hayes Senior Research Fellow in Electrical Engineering at Harvard University. Internationally known for his pioneering research on bandstructure engineering of artificially structured semiconductors and devices, which has opened up new directions in materials research, mesoscopic physics, photonics, electronics, and nanotechnology.

 

Todd Jaeger, PhD

Dr. Todd D. Jaeger, PhD is Global Sales Director  for Haraeus Quartz Commercial Optics division. He holds a doctorate in physical chemistry with an emphasis on lasers and spectroscopy from the University of Georgia. In addition to his roles at leading companies in the photonics industry, he is a former member of NASA‘s Laser Risk Reduction Program through Goddard Space Flight Center.  He is currently located in the Buford, GA Heraeus Quartz North America facility.
